All experiences in life, from a good cup of tea to the loss of a loved one, are tales waiting to be shared….
Hi! Thanks for stopping by.
I’m Leilani and I’ve got gumption.
Gumption is what allows me to stay sane while my husband and I (and our two cats) restore our recently purchased 110-year-old fixer-upper in Clyde, Texas (but us folks like to call it Clyde, America). When I am not painting or making a mess painting or trying to save money on projects by doing them myself, I’m reflecting on the restoration process of my own life.
So if you enjoy an entertaining tale or a helpful house tip or a yummy recipe, grab that good cup of tea and enjoy reading the mixed-up tales of this Clyde woman.
P.S.
This is our current house project:
Even though there is plenty to do inside, Dave and I have gardening on the brain!
P.S.S.
Here are what my two cats look like:
Their names are Brody and Baby Girl.
Brody’s favorite foods are yogurt and mangoes.
Baby Girl’s favorite food is fresh grass.
P.S.S.
I am currently reading this book:
It has more pictures than words.
P.S.S.S.
I really, really, REALLY like to eat jam:
I also like to make jam.
P.S.S.S.S
I love parties!
I love shoes!
I recently purchased a yellow bikini!
I love sunsets!
I love sunrises!
I cannot forget to buy cat litter today!

I love blog readers and comments from blog readers!

Yes, and you make excellent tea. Thanks for opening your mind and heart up online. I’m sure people will be blessed and treated to what you say.
from the ever adored ducky (land before time) i respond with an enthusiastic, “yup yup yup!”
HI, I found a daybed you posted on Pinterest…. I’d like to know where it is from please

Wanna know something funny? I found that picture on Google and put it on my blog entry. And now, when I return to Google, the only form of that picture is on my blog. Weird. Therefore, I have no idea where that bed is sold. Which is a bummer! However, Ballard Designs usually has sleek furniture like this bed. Good luck!
Love Ballard – Thanks and good luck to you too
Sitting here reading your blog before I go to bed. I love the way you write. I can hear your voice as I’m reading! I think you should be the next blog sensation!! So glad you are putting a fun spin on living in Clyde America. I’m excited to be your new fixer-uper neighbor
Awe! That is so touching, Bethy! My goal is to involve Clyde more…somehow. Here’s to home improvement!
When you said you have “gumption” you forgot to mention you also have “talent”. Love your blog…it’s always entertaining! Thanks for sharing your adventures in life with the rest of us.
Sorry, I know another Myra and thought you were her! Haha! Good to see you have a blog now, too!
Loved your blog. Great information and recipes. We are fixing up a house too and I love to know I am not the only one that is either sane or insane. I haven’t decided which yet.
Fixer-uppers need a support group. Let’s say we start one. Thanks for reading!
